THREAD NECK LIFT
This procedure lifts and tightens the neck and décolletage providing a more youthful appearance. This provides significant improvement in the sagging loose skin with minimal downtime.
THREAD JAWLINE LIFT
PDO threads are used to create a natural lift and tightening along the jawline. Results are a more youthful appearance with improved definition and contour of the jawline.
THREAD BODY LIFT
PDO threads are used to gently lift and tighten sagging skin to produce a smoother, more youthful appearance. A less invasive way than surgery to lift and rejuvenate the body. Commonly treated areas include the breasts, elbows, knees, upper arms, abdomen, thighs, and buttocks.
Types of Thread Lifts
What to Expect
Local anesthesia or Pronox (laughing gas) may be used for the patient’s comfort, and the threads are inserted with the use of a needle. The threads act as “scaffolding” to help to hold the skin up. The procedure itself can take between 10 and 45 minutes to complete depending on the number and location of the treatment sites.
Thread lifting improves the appearance of sagging skin and contours both immediately and over time. The skin and facial tissues are lifted during the procedure, and as the PDO threads dissolve, the body’s production of collagen is activated. This process allows for the lifting effect to be long lasting and look very natural.
Other treatments, such as skin resurfacing or dermal fillers, may be used to enhance the results of your PDO thread lift once you have healed. Patients may also add on RF microneedling to achieve optimal rejuvenation effects.
Post Procedure
Patients can typically return to work and their regular activities immediately after a PDO thread lift. However, vigorous rubbing of the face, such as when cleansing or applying skincare products, should be avoided for at least one week. Some slight swelling and bruising may occur but should resolve in a few days. The face should be washed gently and patted dry to avoid dislodging the PDO threads. It is also recommended that patients sleep with their head propped up for a few days to help prevent swelling.
Patients typically see results immediately after treatment that will refine as any swelling or bruising dissipates. The PDO sutures are absorbed within four to six months, leaving behind the collagen structure built by the body, which can last for up to 2 years.
